Jonathan Trayte

Next up to celebrate art month is NUOVO’s debut of artist Jonathan Trayte’s sculpture works, as well as to mark the company’s exciting collaboration with Nilufar Gallery this year. Colourful, meaningful and thoughtful, Trayte’s sculpture, installation and functional design is informed by our global language of consumption. He says, “I’m drawn to the light of a bulb like an insect, its luminance and warmth is enticing, and I like to include one where I can.” The artist reinterprets the natural world creating heavily saturated, surreal facsimiles in many varying materials and the work is a coming together of organic forms and saccharine colours. Glossy synthetic skins of paint give the work a colourful pop status, a chameleon appearance and an edible quality.

On show from 22 March until the end of April for a celebration of art, NUOVO has creatively curated these striking sculptures with classics from Fendi, Zanotta  and Meridiani. Join us at the opening launch on March 22, 6-9pm and embrace the joy of these pieces.
